Anyone who does marketing or business writing will know that Artificial Intelligence makes creating catchy posts a breeze, entirely more efficient at “organized word vomit” than our human brains.
But, the question facing all of us professionals, who use this tool, is can AI create writing that is equally effective as something created by a human mind?
Currently no, but it depends on target audience. It seems that the “boomer” generation is much more receptive to engaging posts created with AI than those of the younger generations. It seems that generally, the younger the audience, the less receptive they are to AI writing.
Our minds have began picking up on AI’s writing style. As of today August 28th, 2025, no amount of tuning can get these things, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, etc, to write an article or post with the authenticity of our own unique writing voices/styles.
I am not alone in this perspective, a quick google search will reveal many hits on this same topic.
I want to preface this by recognizing that I am not the best at communicating in writing, by any means. But I do feel that my way of speaking, my voice, comes through in the way I write. You can be the judge of that, just as your readers will for your writing. And I can guarantee most of them can recognize AI writing by now.
Corey Wilks, Psy.D. posted about this a few months ago, and ever since then my mental gears have been turning on this topic. I recognized that when I start reading something and begin to recognize the writing style of AI, I immediately skim read the rest. My once subconscious feeling, now recognized consciously, put into words, is that why should I take the time to fully read and process this information if someone didn’t take the time to write it.
If I feel that way, I can’t be alone.
I agree with Corey's point, there will be a rise and conscious search for truly authentic and unique content and perspectives.
Good writing/content makes you feel connection, with the message or story, characters or writer. You feel the humanity in the writing, and, that is what AI is currently lacking.
Readers connect to the writer, the brand, through the unique style and tone of writing. The can feel "the you" through the delivery and wording. Until AI can replicate that voice, it will become the new frontier in marketing. People are dying to feel connection, and if you and your brand can deliver that, I predict you will easily out compete those that do not.
